Yoga means union ... a union of one's self with all that is mind, body, spirit and environment. Yoga is the perfect way to unwind whilst stretching, toning and limbering up all the muscles that you forgot that you had.
I am a specialist in Hatha Yoga, and have found Yoga to be a great way to gain flexibility and strength whilst learning how to be more relaxed under otherwise stressful situations. Classes tend to be slow-paced, focusing on stretching and breathing exercises with some seated meditation.
Some Hatha Yoga poses have been found to massage and tone your internal organs, helping to prevent diseases such as diabetes, arthritis and hypertension. They also help to balance internal and glandular functions and are frequently used to help treat anxiety and depression.
My classes are suitable for all levels of abilities, as I layer all of the work so that we start with beginner-level postures and exercises before gradually increasing the challenge or intensity with optional modifications. Students are always urged to listen to their own bodies and work to their individual level.
I currently operate public classes in the Hazlemere Community Center, High Wycombe on Wednesdays from 9:30am-10:30am. However I do offer other times and venues and can do private sessions.
